My art is an expression of wild femininity - an attempt to capture the bold, delicate, fierce and feral women of legend and life.
These paintings are a nod back to a time long ago when the matriarchy was revered - when witches were thought of as wise ones, and seasons and cycles were observed and honored. The power and contributions of women throughout history have been erased or paved over, starting with the slandering of women in power, and twisting the titles of “witches” and “spinsters” into something undesirable, something to be eradicated. I hope to do my part in reclaiming our collective power, our connection with nature, our dance with the moon, our place on this earth, and above all, speak to your inner witch.
